1Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Q2T Suite ("Q2T Suite," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our educational technology platform, including our website, applications, games, assessments, artificial intelligence features, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms used but not defined here have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Service.

By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2Information We Collect

2.1Account Information

• name;
• email address;
• profile image;
• role (Teacher, Student, Organization administrator);
• language preference;
• authentication identifiers provided by Google Sign-In or other supported identity providers.

2.2Educational Content

Content that Teachers, Students, and Organizations create, upload, or generate through the Service, including games, quizzes, assessments, lesson plans, grades, comments, and other User Content as described in the Terms of Service.

2.3Student Information

Where a Teacher or Organization enters information about Students (such as names, class rosters, scores, or progress records), that information is collected and processed on behalf of, and under the direction of, the Teacher or Organization, who remains the data controller for that information under applicable law.

2.4Usage and Device Information

• pages and features accessed;
• interactions with games, quizzes, and AI tools;
• device type, operating system, and browser;
• IP address and approximate location;
• log data, timestamps, and error reports.

2.5Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed by third-party payment processors. Q2T Suite does not store complete payment card numbers. Payment processors may share limited transaction information (such as billing status, plan, and amount) with us for account administration.

2.6AI Interactions

Prompts, instructions, and content submitted to AI Features, and the AI Output generated in response, as further described in Section 8 (Artificial Intelligence) of this Policy and Section 16 of the Terms of Service.

2.7Cookies and Similar Technologies

Information collected through cookies, local storage, and similar technologies, as described in our Cookie Policy.

3How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

• provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
• authenticate users and secure accounts;
• enable Teachers and Organizations to manage classes, assignments, and student progress;
• process subscriptions, billing, and payments;
• operate and improve AI Features;
• communicate with users about the Service, including service updates and security alerts;
• detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
• analyze aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified usage patterns to improve the Service;
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)

Where the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") or the UK GDPR applies, we process personal information under one or more of the following legal bases: performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, compliance with a legal obligation, and, where applicable, your consent.

5How We Share Information

5.1Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, authentication, payment processing, analytics, customer support, and artificial intelligence providers, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

5.2Within an Organization

Where an account is created or managed under an Organization (such as a school), Teachers and authorized administrators within that Organization may access relevant Student information as necessary to operate the Service for their classes.

5.3Community Library

Content voluntarily published to the Community Library is visible to other users of the Service, subject to our Community Library License.

5.4Legal and Safety Reasons

• to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
• to enforce our Terms of Service;
• to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues;
• to protect the rights, property, or safety of Q2T Suite, our users, or the public.

5.5Business Transfers

If Q2T Suite is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and this Privacy Policy.

5.6No Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share student information for targeted advertising purposes.

6Children’s Privacy and Student Data

6.1Educational Context

Q2T Suite is intended to be used by Students under the supervision and authorization of a Teacher, School, Parent, or other legally authorized adult. Student accounts are not intended to be created directly by children without such supervision.

6.2Limited Collection

We collect only the Student information reasonably necessary to provide the educational features requested by the supervising Teacher or Organization, such as a display name, class assignment, and progress or performance data.

6.3No Behavioral Advertising to Students

We do not use Student information to serve targeted or behavioral advertising, and we do not knowingly sell Student personal information.

6.4School and Teacher Responsibility

Schools, Teachers, and Organizations are responsible for obtaining any consents required by applicable law (such as parental consent where required) before entering Student information into the Service, and for complying with applicable student-privacy laws (such as FERPA or COPPA in the United States, or equivalent laws elsewhere).

6.5Parental Access Requests

Parents or legal guardians who wish to review, correct, or request deletion of a Student’s information should contact the Student’s Teacher or School, who administers the relevant account. Where a School or Teacher cannot be reached, parents may contact us directly using the information in Section 15.

7Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and support legitimate business operations, consistent with Section 19.3 of our Terms of Service. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and applicable legal requirements.

8Artificial Intelligence

AI Features may process prompts and Content you submit in order to generate AI Output. We may use anonymized, aggregated, or de-identified information derived from AI interactions to improve our AI systems and the Service, as described in Section 16 of our Terms of Service.

We do not knowingly use identifiable Student information to train third-party foundation models beyond what is reasonably necessary to provide the requested AI Feature, and we apply reasonable safeguards such as aggregation or de-identification where feasible.

Except as described above, prompts and other input submitted to AI Features are not treated as confidential information and may be processed, logged, and retained as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Service, as described in Section 16.5 of our Terms of Service.

9Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10International Data Transfers

Depending on your location, your information may be processed, stored, or transferred in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for such transfers. See also Section 19.6 of our Terms of Service.

11Your Privacy Rights

11.1General Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You may exercise these rights by contacting us using the information in Section 15.

11.2California Residents

California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. As stated in Section 5.6, we do not sell personal information.

11.3EEA/UK Residents

Residents of the EEA and UK may have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

11.4Account Settings and Deletion

Users may request deletion of their account through the tools available within the Service, subject to Section 19.4 of the Terms of Service.

12Third-Party Services and Links

The Service integrates with or links to third-party services, such as Google Sign-In and payment processors, that operate under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services, as described in Section 18 of our Terms of Service.

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and secure the Service, remember preferences, and understand usage. Details are available in our Cookie Policy.

14Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Where required by applicable law, we will provide reasonable notice before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
